Cowboys and Aliens
I loved COWBOYS AND ALIENS, or as I like to call it, "James Bond Dreams He's a Cowboy on Independence Day." Here's a movie that could have gone completely off the reservation, yet instead delivers one of the coolest mash-ups of all time, right up there with "The Grey Album" by Danger Mouse. Though steeped in science fiction, the film is at its core a western. And like so many westerns, it sports a saloon happy to dispense bottles of Bourbon whiskey. Though he's in a totally bizarre and surreal situation, after a few shots 007 gets down to business and kicks some ass.
Bond (Daniel Craig) dreams he's a cowboy with a jewelry fetish.
"There's a lotta things about me you don't know anything about, Dottie. Things you wouldn't understand. Things you couldn't understand. Things you shouldn't understand."
